"Advanced American Couture Designer, b michael, shows some of his "Favorite Things" for Fall Collection 04', under the tents in Bryant Park, for Olympus Fashion Week NY.
New York, NY February 12, 2004--"Favorite Things" is what fashion designer, b michael, brought to us for Fall Collection 2004; inspirations from his favorite things. b michael, showing once again under the tents in Bryant Park, makes his latest collection a showcase of his "personal" style, offering the world a closer look at b michael and what inspires him to design and live well.
For Fall Collection 2004, b michael presented, a fabulous blend of rich fabrics, colors, silhouettes, and plaids. For day, b michael introduced his "haute sportswear" look, designed with "haute" and very luxe fabrics such as cashmere and a delicately subtle herringbone in soft pile tweed. For Cocktail, b prefers matte shine and compositions of silk & wool. For both Day and Evening the b michael collection, includes his favorite fabrics of all, status cashmere and plaids; a tribute to his early and preppy boyhood in Connecticut.
Evening for b michael Fall, includes silhouettes draped in non traditional fabrics, thus, creating a modern approach to glamour and, for the most glamorous of all, b michael's "red carpet" dresses round out his brilliant collection. b describes the pieces that make his Fall Collection as "very detailed and the accomplishment of his "Favorite Things" collection is the look that is gracefully uncomplicated."
The b michael runway show included of course his handbag collection for the season which will be full of exotic skins such as ostrich and alligator shown in Fall garden colors as well as b's favorite, chocolate brown suede. The other major accessory to hit the b michael runway is gloves, used to be flirty and modern. Jewelry for the show was all hand selected semi-precious and vintage pieces to accentuate the simple glamour.
The b michael Fall Collection runway show was sponsored by UPS, providing tailor made solutions to the world of fashion. Other sponsors include Juvena of Switzerland, The Roger Williams Hotel, and Paron Fabrics.
