Contractor Offers Window Into Filming Of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" To Los Angeles Media

Los Angeles, CA September 9, 2004 -- Plaskoff Construction of Tarzana will be operating a special VIP media tent for the September filming of ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."

The exact location of the San Fernando Valley remodel is kept secret pending the families surprise notification on Wednesday, September 8th.

The Plaskoff VIP Media tent will be open starting September 10th through to the home reveal on September 15th. Media can gain access to the VIP tent by contacting Diana Tran of Plaskoff Construction at (818) 674-6746.

"This will be an awesome way to get close to the action...and I'm not just talking about Ty Pennington," said Matt Plaskoff, the show's General Contractor and lead Construction Consultant. "This show has become an absolute phenomenon. It's not just the crew and designers, the whole neighborhood gets involved - it's an amazing sight to see first hand."

While he can not disclose any information about the specifics of the remodel, Matt Plaskoff promises that there will be many surprises – including something never before done by any makeover program.

The show, recently nominated for an Emmy Award, is a race against time on a project that would ordinarily take four to five months to complete. A team of five designers and over 100 workers have just seven days to completely renovate an entire house for a deserving family. The result is exactly what happens when habitat and humanity collide.

"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" airs Sundays at 8/7 central on ABC.
