New York, NY July 3, 2003 – The Island Beach Volleyball Association (IBVB) is please to announce that it has partnered with Coors Brewing Company to sponsor "The Coors Light Long Beach American Classic 2003," the second annual Long Beach American Classic Beach Volleyball Tournament to be held at Riverside Boulevard Beach in Long Beach, NY on July 12th and 13th, 2003.

Sponsorship by Coors includes radio promotions on several Long Island radio stations (WLIR-FM, WBAB-FM), The Coors Light Party Ambulance, Coors Light tents, as well as banners and posters to be put up at locations where Coors is delivering their products and nets for the tournament.

"We are thrilled to be partnered with Coors for this year's tournament," said Ralph Caiaccio, co-creator of IBVB. "Island Beach Volleyball Association is committed to making Long Beach the beach volleyball capital of the East Coast." Dairo Chamorro, co-creator of IBVB added, "Coors' support provides the Long Beach American Classic with more exposure and credibility than ever. Their sponsorship is a great benefit for our tournament players and the volleyball community."

This two-day event was created to promote beach volleyball at Long Beach by offering some of the largest cash prizes for all divisions of play in the East Coast and is expected to attract top players from all over the country, including Hawaii. More than $10,000 in guaranteed cash and prizes will be awarded to the top three Men's and Women's Open and AA division teams as well as the Co-ed and Quad divisions.
